- Facilitations of co-practice in Mainland in Hong Kong
Series of activities and events are being planned to attribute towards the defined goals.
- Collaboration with other Industry Players
In collaboration with other professional institutions, societies or professional bodies, events to broaden the exposure of our members will be arranged. Society activities to strengthen the networking with other industry players will also be promoted.
- Facilities of Co-practice with Mainland Industry Players
Drawing on the relationship we have built with the mainland China counterparties in the past few years, we will reinforce our common goals to facilitate co-practice between Hong Kong and mainland China. Apart from the annual conference on professional services between Hong Kong and mainland, an Advanced National Affairs Study Tour is planned to reinforce and deepen members' understanding on mainland professional practices, standards and regulations.
- Promotion of Professionalism
We will continue to organize the Hong Kong ICT Award 2008: Best Public Service Application to promote the projects which has helped to enhance the efficiencies in all aspects of the public's life. Robocon 2009 will be another event where we can promote professionalism to existing students.
Furthermore, we will continue to work with other divisions, institutions, societies or professional bodies to provide the government with recommendations and standards.
- Members Recruitment and Promotion
The division needs to continue to draw on the expertise from industry players and members of other divisions who are not already members of the institution. Expanding our membership base to facilitate information flow will be our continuous underlying goal.
I and the ITD committee members look forward for our members to actively participate and assist in our planned events.
